That’s a Wrap on Give BIG Green Bay!
We kicked off 2025 with a bang through Give BIG, raising an impressive $130,599.22 for Curative Connections! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, spread the word, and contributed to this incredible achievement.
This year, our focus on collaboration between nonprofits amplified the event’s impact. By sharing missions and co-hosting events, we brought greater awareness to each organization. Curative Connections partnered with Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin and Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity for the “Missions and Music” event at the Green Bay Distillery. We also teamed up with GRIT 920 and Urban Cultural Arts for Facebook live sessions, engaging our members and the community.
The collaboration and mutual support were phenomenal, providing a fantastic opportunity for our members to connect with the community. Thank you for making Give BIG 2025 a resounding success!
Yesteryear Village Turns One!
On April 8th, we celebrated the one-year anniversary of Yesteryear Village, home to our reminiscent care dementia and life skills programs. Inspired by models in the Netherlands and Canada, Yesteryear is unique in the U.S., designed to evoke vibrant memories from ages 18-30 to ease anxiety and agitation.
In its first year, Yesteryear welcomed 58 members and provided respite for 58 caregivers. We hosted around 100 tour groups and 56 group activities led by community volunteers. The Philip J. and Elizabeth B. Hendrickson Beauty Salon and Barbershop gave 80 haircuts. We celebrated with tacos, cake, and an afternoon of festivities.
Happy Birthday, Yesteryear! We look forward to what 2025 has in store and thank the community for bringing this space to life!
My Draft Experience Booklet
The 2025 NFL Draft is creating a lot of buzz and all eyes are on Green Bay. With hundreds of thousands of football fans, from all over the world, flooding the city there are endless opportunities for Green Bay businesses to thrive. College seniors and best friends, Jack Christensen and Luke Rexing, have turned that opportunity into a business. The MyDraft Experience Booklet gives fans access to over $200 in deals to over 30 bars, coffee shops, and restaurants in the Green Bay area. It is a great way for those visiting the area to explore local favorites and save. As for Green Bay residents, you might spot some of your favorites in the MyDraft list of partners.
Because of a family connection between current Curative Connections member and Jack, they have chosen to donate 10% of every sale to Curative Connections.
Seen in… Insight on Business

Curative Connections President and CEO, Jeanne Stangel was featured on the cover of Insight on Business’ April Issue. The cover story highlighted Yesteryear Village and a few of the community members that were a part of making the concept a reality.
Advocacy Update
As state and federal budget season approaches, Curative Connections has been actively engaging with legislators to highlight the importance of our services. These visits showcase firsthand the need for continued and increased funding for Curative and other home and community-based services.
Cuts to Medicaid, Family Care, and IRIS would negatively impact our members and their families. Adult Day Services, like those provided by Curative Connections, are the most cost-effective way to care for the aging population and adults with disabilities, allowing 87% of our members to remain in their homes. Reductions in funding could force care partners to leave their jobs to provide full-time care, increasing costs for taxpayers compared to alternative care options.
We urge you to advocate for the people we serve by reaching out to your representatives. Thank you for supporting Curative Connections and the 1.2 million Wisconsinites who rely on Medicaid.
