Legacy Gifts

Why Give?

For more than 75 years, Curative Connections, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, has grown to meet the ever-changing needs of our community. Today, we help approximately 1,600 people each week find support and care due to aging, dementia, brain injury, or disability.

Of our 11 programs, four are focused on respite and engagement for people living with memory loss. Currently, there are more than 5,000 people age 65 and older living with dementia in Brown County and this number is expected to increase 105% by 2040. Because of these staggering statistics, Curative is focused on providing innovative reminiscent care for people with dementia and we are prepared for future growth proportionate to the increasing need.

  • Only 70% of our revenue comes from program revenue (the government and individual payors who pay for our programs).
  • This means 30% of our revenues come from our annual fund-raising and earnings from our endowment fund.
  • The government and individual payors are never expected to pay a higher portion of our costs.
  • That 30% number remains constant; yet the dollars needed grow as we serve more people.
  • There is a very real, limiting “pinch point” Curative will face in trying to serve more members of our community.

So, your thoughtful legacy gift to Curative’s endowment allows us to serve more members and has a profound impact on our community.
