All dementia programs at Curative Connections are tailored to support individuals at different stages of disease progression. While programs are similar in structure, program placement is dependent on the environment a member is most comfortable in. All Early Memory Loss and Dementia programs have a 1:6 ratio, but this program does not exceed more than 12 members a day.
Our Small Group Dementia Care program is for those who appreciate a quieter environment and time to themselves. This program, like our others, fosters social interaction within a group of peers who members know and are comfortable with. There is less big group integration in this program, members decide what Curative community events to participate in. We also bring in outside events and volunteers, including our therapy dogs and musical acts, to spend time with this group. All the components of the large group schedule are there but are tailored to be more intimate and less overstimulating.
