There are many ways for you to leave a legacy.
Beneficiary Designations
You may choose to designate Curative Connections as a partial or full beneficiary of your retirement assets or life insurance policy. This is one of the easiest ways to give to a nonprofit organization. You have the flexibility to change your designated beneficiaries at any time by contacting your financial advisor or insurance carrier.
Bequests – Wills or Trusts
Wills or trusts are a simple, flexible and versatile way to provide a lasting gift to Curative Connections. By including Curative Connections in your estate plans, you can specify the percent or dollar amount of your assets to come to Curative after your lifetime. Assets designated to Curative Connections could reduce estate taxes payable for your family.
IRA Charitable Rollover
There is a special giving opportunity for those ages 70½ and older. You can give any amount (up to a maximum of $100,000) per year from your IRA directly to a qualified charity like Curative Connections without having to pay income taxes on the money. Additionally, because the gift does not count as income, it can help reduce your annual income level. You may see significant tax benefits and can feel good knowing that you are making a difference for Curative Connections.
Charitable Remainder Trusts
This type of trust provides you or other named individuals income each year for life, or a period not exceeding 20 years, from assets you place in your created trust. At the end of the trust term, the balance in the trust goes to Curative Connections. These types of gifts may offer you tax benefits and the option for income. There are two ways to receive payments either through an annuity trust and unitrust and each has its own benefits.
Charitable Lead Trusts
This is a flexible plan that allows you to make an impact on Curative Connections now and will also provide for your family later. Assets are transferred to a trust that pays income to one or more nonprofit organizations. At a fixed date or after your lifetime, the assets are transferred to family or other beneficiaries you select. There are two ways payments would be made to Curative Connections, either through a charitable lead annuity trust (fixed amount) or through a charitable lead unitrust (variable amount).
