To my Curative Community,
After much reflection and a full heart, I have made the decision to retire from my role as President and CEO of Curative Connections at the end of December 2026.
Serving this remarkable organization over the past five years has been one of the greatest honors of my professional life. Every day, I have been inspired by the dedication, compassion, and resilience that define Curative Connections and the community we serve. Many of you have heard me say, “At Curative, I found where I belong” – because you welcomed me here. And together, we have strengthened an agency that has been a pillar in this community for 78 years, an organization that is not only rich in history but firmly positioned for long-term sustainability and continued impact.
This decision is rooted in a personal desire to spend more time with my loved ones, family, grandkiddos and friends and embrace the next chapter of my life with renewed purpose and joy. While stepping away is not easy, I do so with complete confidence in the strength of our leadership, the talent of our staff, the commitment of our board, and the unwavering support of our community.
To ensure a seamless transition, the Executive Committee officers, led by Chair Lisa Bos, will serve as the search committee and engage a professional search firm to identify the next President and CEO. The targeted timeline is to welcome my successor in the fall of 2026, allowing time for a smooth transition before my retirement at year-end. Until then, it will be business as usual.
I am profoundly grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for the opportunity to lead such an exceptional organization with extraordinary people. Curative Connections is in a wonderful place—financially strong and poised for continued success. I have no doubt that its best years are still ahead.
Thank you for your passion and your belief in the work we do. I look forward to the months ahead as we continue advancing our mission together.
With gratitude,
Jeanne Stangel, President and CEO
