Who is Eligible?

Curative Connections provides 11 person-centered programs for adults with disabilities, early memory loss and dementia, and impairments from brain injury. Program areas serve a wide range of members but are all focused on building independence and achieving personalized goals. We are ready to meet everyone where they are and help them navigate options to support their goals for independence.

FAQs
Is a medical diagnosis necessary for program participation?
There is no official diagnosis required to attend any program.

Can someone attend Curative Connections while living in a residential care facility or while receiving palliative or hospice care?
Yes.

What are the hours of operation?
Our most active hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, specific program hours many vary.

Transportation, Monday- Friday 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.

How do members pay for Curative Connections’ programs or transportation services?

  • Self pay: Programs, $7/hour & up; or Transportation, $5/trip (in Brown County only)
  • Apply for assistance from state Family Care/Medicaid funds
  • Utilize funding from the Veterans Affairs (VA)
  • Utilize funding from the Department of Vocational Rehab (DVR)
  • Apply for Curative Connections’ scholarship funds

Do I have to be a Brown County resident to attend?
No, Curative programs and locations are open to all, however our transportation services are limited to Brown County.

How is programming paid for?
Funding sources come from member and management fees, grants, endowment earnings, and community support through individual donations. Pricing for programs varies based on program ratio and resource use.

What ages do you serve?
We serve adults 18 and older, program demographics vary.

Are you Curative Workshop?
Curative Connections was known as Curative Workshop for many years and during this time, provided employment & training opportunities for people with disabilities. Today, as Curative Connections, we provide 11 person-centered programs for adults with disabilities, early memory loss and dementia, and impairments from brain injury.

Where do your referrals come from?
Curative Connections receives referrals from the following sources:

  • Prospective members and their families/caregivers (word of mouth)
  • The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC)
  • Long-term care funders and IRIS
  • Healthcare providers
  • Schools

What are personal cares?
Personal cares refer to daily living activities that an individual may not be able to perform without assistance. Generally, these activities are related to personal hygiene and health. They include:

  • Toileting
  • Eating/drinking
  • Transferring
  • Walking
  • Medication
