Salon/Barbershop

Want to help people feel their best through simple hair trims, basic styling, and facial hair grooming? This is a free service offered to members of our programs, and your time can make a meaningful difference in their day while helping take this appointment off the plates of the caregiver. Your role brings this salon setting to life, offering participants a sense of purpose and dignity through small, comforting tasks and calm, friendly engagement. Whether you’re chatting about favorite styles, helping organize brushes or magazines, or simply being a steady presence, you help create a space that feels welcoming and familiar. By providing gentle redirection when needed and helping maintain a relaxed, salon‑style atmosphere, you create moments of comfort, confidence, and joy—moments where participants can enjoy the soothing rhythm of being cared for in a place that meets them when they’re at.
