Thank you Chilly Chocolate Volunteers
Thank you to all the volunteers who supported Curative Connections at the Beerntsen’s Chilly Chocolate 15k and Fudge Trudge 5k on Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7. This event is hosted by Runaway Shoes and as a nonprofit, Curative Connections receives $50 for each volunteer who signs up to support Curative.
Our Friday volunteers got lucky and enjoyed the warm shelter of Pete’s Garage to help with race check-in. Temperatures dropped on the morning of the race, but our volunteers had cozy Curative hats to keep them warm. Thank you to all who braved the cold and helped with this fun event.
Valentine’s Day Carnival
Every month, the Curative Connections Entertainment Committee comes together to plan events and bring in entertainment for our members. Events are planned to maximize interaction between programs, and to ensure members in all programs get to experience different events and performances. Social interaction is an important part of programming at Curative Connections and creating opportunities for the larger Curative Community to connect is the main goal of the committee.
One of our favorite events is the Valentine’s Day Carnival. Members wear fun props, listen to music, enjoy sweet treats, and play fun games to win Valentine’s Day themed prizes. We can’t host large community events like this without volunteers: who help set up, run the games and snack tables, and clean-up. Volunteering is a great way to be introduced to Curative Connections and an even better way to stay engaged. It is the best way to connect personally with members and to see how special a place Curative is. At this year’s carnival we were joined by board members, corporate volunteers, and some familiar faces our members loved seeing. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who made this event so special. We can’t wait for next year!

New Website – Caring about you and for you when it matters most
We updated our website, and are so excited to share it with you! You’ll see a fresh and vibrant new look with updated photos, content, and overall, a more accessible and navigable site. Our website highlights a community where we all belong and makes it easy to find information and resources for visitors who are seeking services.
Community Partnerships – Emplify Health
One of the best things about living in the Green Bay area is the community. There are so many resources out there and opportunities to connect. We are fortunate to have so many incredible community partners, like Emplify Health by Bellin. They have incredible resources that we can share with staff and caregivers, and there is a lot of potential for collaboration. We are partnering with them to conduct informational sessions for staff regarding mental health.
Recently, Kari Moody, our VP of Advancement went on the Prescriptions For Life podcast to talk about Curative Connections and what programs and services we offer. Thank you Emplify Health for giving us a platform to share our story!
