Trivial Pursuit with Valarie
Last week, many of our programs gathered together to play a stimulating game of Trivial Pursuit with staff member Valarie of our Cognitive Rehab and Wellness program. It was a great opportunity for members to work their brains and spend some time with their friends from other programs. Trivial Pursuit day is highly anticipated and our members love it.
GivingTuesday
Mark your calendars! GivingTuesday is just a week away, on December 2! GivingTuesday is a global movement created to encourage people to give for good. This year our campaign is focused on supporting caregivers beyond providing them respite. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to expand our offerings for caregivers and provide them with the support and resources they want and need. Stay stunned to our socials on December 2 and get ready to give!
Broadway in Green Bay Accessible Offerings
One of our Curative team members is involved with the Brown County Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind. Their chapter worked with the UW-Green Bay Weidner Center to have the Broadway Musical series audio described. Hades Town, Kinky Boots, Tina, and Mrs. Doubtfire will have audio descriptions available during the performances.
Change Makers Non-Profit Guide
Curative Connections Shawano was featured in the Market Messenger’s new publication that focuses on highlighting local nonprofits. We highlighted our Social Rec and Enrichment (Adult Day) program. This program provides a safe place for adults with disabilities or aging concerns to spend the day. It also serves as a large group environment for those living with memory loss. A huge thank you to Abby Bank for sponsoring our ad!
