Happy Holidays From Curative Connections
Because of you, 2025 was filled with moments worth remembering. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!
Legislative Bus Tour
Earlier this month, Curative Connections, Aspiro, CP, and Innovative Care Services, all members of the Northeast Wisconsin Family Care Advocacy Group, invited local legislators to tour our facilities. It was a great opportunity to show how our organizations work together to empower our members to live more fulfilling lives
The group was joined by Representative Elijah Behnke and Representative Shae Sortwell. A huge thank you to them for taking the time to hear from our nonprofit leaders and members about the importance of funding adult day services.

Build-A-Better World
One of our staff members, Kit B., is behind a local charity called Build-A-Better World. The idea came to her during the pandemic while thinking of ways to spread positivity. The goal is to provide families in need with Build-A-Bear stuffed animals. Bears are donated from other community members and she restores them with a wash and new stuffing. Once the bears are restored, they are brought to local organizations and churches. This holiday season, Kit hopes to donate around 90 bears, with 40 of them going to families at Freedom House. We will be accepting gently used Build-A-Bears and clothing/accessories from now through February 27, 2026.
Some of our Life Skills program members got to pick out a bear and an outfit to keep or to gift to a loved one for the holidays. Our members were able to take a trip to Bay Park Square Mall and refill their bears at Build-A-Bear. Thank you to Build-A-Better World for the incredible donation and experience!
Curative Dementia Training
Next month we will be hosting two dementia training sessions led by Sheri Fairman, owner of Dementia Care Solutions, LLC. The first session on Friday, January 16, 12-4pm will cover how brain changes impact every day experiences and how to better support people to perform daily living activities. The second session on Friday, January 30, 12-4pm will explore Teepa Snow’s GEMS State Model to shift the approach to care. Both sessions are free and will be held at Curative Connections East. While it is beneficial to attend all courses, you can register for what you are able to attend.
Please RSVP at 920-468-1161.
